Bring us back to our First Love, O Lord. We repent. Remind us, Lord, of Your Love, Who first loved us, that we may see You as Who You really are, the One Who holds all things in His hands, that we may be conquerors, and live with You forever.
[[Deuteronomy 30:2-3 ESV] “2 and return to the LORD your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul, 3 then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the LORD your God has scattered you.”
When I read this today it reminded me of Psalm 126.
[Psalm 126:1 ESV] “1 A Song of Ascents. When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.”
God is good and merciful to us. When we turn to Him, He is full of grace and mercy. It reminded of this quote,
“There is more mercy in Christ than sin in us.”— Richard Sibbes
