A Good Path

Do you feel like you’re stuck? Like you’re going somewhere, but not going anywhere? Like your feet are moving, but you’re in the same place you started? The path feels like it’s clear, but it’s actually hazy. The path is long and feels so lonely. Has the path been so hard, you’ve wanted to just quit? Feel like you’re walking down this path alone? Well, here’s good news. There is one who has walked the same path you’ve walked on. One who has been through the same things you have. He has walked through it, and has paved the way for you. And… He is walking the path again, with you.

If you feel alone, and like you want to stop this path you’re on, don’t. Keep going. When it feels too hard and like all the world is against you, there is one who will always be with you. Jesus is there with you. Here are some words of encouragement from the Lord to keep going.

Isaiah 41:10 “fear not, for I am with you: be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Hebrews 12:1-3 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Mathew 14:27 “But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”

Deuteronomy 31:8 “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Isaiah 43:1-2 “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Luke 21:28 “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Genesis 28:15 “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

So, if you feel like you’re walking this path alone, or that you can’t go anymore, keep going. The Lord is with you as you walk down this path. Don’t be afraid. Look to the Lord and take courage. He has prepared the way for you, and He is walking with you now. Keep going. In the happy and the sad, the struggle and the pain, the beginning and the end. He is walking with you. The path you are walking is a good path, and it’s the Lord’s path, and it’s the path to the Lord, Our Father. So, keep going. Keep running after Him, and keep on the path that He has set before you. It’s a good path.
